Honoring Educators Who Make a Difference
The Red Apple Gala is an annual celebration hosted by the Twin Falls Education Foundation to recognize and honor the incredible educators and community partners who contribute to the success of the Twin Falls School District.
This special evening highlights the achievements of the district’s Teacher of the Month recipients—individuals who go above and beyond in their dedication to students and learning. The event culminates in the announcement of two distinguished honors: Teacher of the Year awards for one outstanding elementary and one secondary educator.
While the Red Apple Gala is a newer tradition, it reflects a long-standing commitment from the Twin Falls Education Foundation. For over 30 years, the Foundation has supported teachers and students through grants, recognition programs, and partnerships that strengthen education across the district.
The Gala brings together educators, families, and community supporters to celebrate the vital role that teachers play in shaping the future—and to recognize those who exemplify excellence, innovation, and heart in the classroom every day.

The Playmaker of the Year award honors one outstanding elementary and one secondary educator in Twin Falls who demonstrate an exceptional commitment to integrating play into education and supporting the overall well-being of their students.
At the Idaho Playground Project, we believe that play is a powerful part of learning. It fosters social skills, builds confidence, and nurtures resilience. These honored educators understand the importance of creating opportunities for meaningful, active engagement—both inside and outside the classroom.
We also believe that every student deserves access to play—regardless of ability, background, or circumstance. Inclusion is at the heart of our mission. That’s why we champion initiatives that ensure all students have the chance to participate, connect, and thrive through the power of inclusive play.
